God’s way of salvation is simple but profound. It is a way that leads us to a life of joy, peace, and purpose. It is based on faith, not works, and available to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ.
His goal of salvation is to bring everyone who believes to an expected end which He planned before the foundation of the world. The plan is to have the believers express His life and participate in His eternal salvation. This is what God hopes to accomplish through His church in this present age.
What Is the Plan of Salvation?
God’s Plan of Salvation is His way of redeeming humanity from sin and restoration to a right relationship with Him. It is sometimes referred to as the Gospel, meaning “good news.” The critical components of the Plan of Salvation are:
1. God loves us and desires to have a relationship with us.
2. We are sinners, separated from God because of our sin.
3. Jesus Christ died on the cross as a penalty for our sins, and He was raised from the dead.
4. We are called to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
5. If we repent and believe in Jesus Christ, He will cleanse us from our sins and give us eternal life.
6. If we do not repent and believe in Jesus Christ, we will spend eternity in Hell, separated from God.
How to Be Saved According to God’s Plan
The Bible states how we can be saved. Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
This verse tells us that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a free gift from God and available to everyone. We must repent of our sins to receive this gift and believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. When we do this, we are forgiven and made new in Christ. This is the best news ever!
What Is God’s Will For Your Salvation?
The Bible states that God’s will for our salvation is that no one perishes but that all may repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)
“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10)
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)
The Importance of Obeying God’s Plan of Salvation
It is important to obey God’s plan of salvation to be saved from God’s wrath and partake of eternal life.
This plan is outlined in John 3:16, which says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” God’s plan of salvation is simple: confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised from the dead, and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
There is no other way to be saved. This is why it is not optional to disobey God’s plan of salvation. If you want to be saved from God’s wrath and have eternal life, you must believe in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross for your sins. There is no other way.
